Based in Vienna with Genoa as their home port, The Austrian racing team are an integral part of “The Ocean Race”. Formally known as the Whitbread Round the world race (1973-2001) and later the Volvo Ocean Race (2001-2019), The Ocean Race route starts in Alicante, stopping at up to 9 destinations worldwide and finishing in The Hague. The Austrian racing team is the first Austrian-Italian team to compete in The Ocean Race. A young and ambitious team of sailors racing a VO65 class of yacht competing in the Sprint Cup between Alicante to Cape Verde and then On to the Caribbean. The target is to be competing around the world (including Cape Horn) in the next 3 years.
